Aerosmith, Kid Rock and Run-D.M.C. will hit the road for 38 dates starting August 13 in Holmdel, New Jersey.

The last scheduled date on the outing, which was announced earlier this month (see "Kid Rock, Run-D.M.C. Back In The Saddle With Aerosmith"), is November 14 in Mountain View, California.

Aerosmith are touring to support the release of their two-disc greatest-hits collection, O, Yeah! - Ultimate Aerosmith Hits, which will feature two new songs, "Lay It Down" and "Girls of Summer" (see "Two New Songs On Latest Aerosmith Best-Of Collection"). The release date for the record was recently bumped a week to July 2, and the album will be available with four different 3-D covers.

Guitarist Joe Perry will wear a three-quarter carbon-fiber knee brace during the first part of the tour, as he is recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery. Perry went under the knife last month to repair a torn meniscus and trashed ACL in his right knee. He first injured the knee 15 years ago while jumping off a speaker during the Permanent Vacation tour, and last year he re-injured it while touring for Just Push Play.
