Over the past few years, Paul McCartney's life has been a roller coaster of traumatic lows and ecstatic highs — from the death of his wife, Linda, in 1997 to his recent engagement to model and Nobel Prize nominee Heather Mills.

His upcoming record, Driving Rain, due November 13, will likely address many of these experiences, a spokesperson for McCartney said.

The album was produced by David Kahne (Sugar Ray, Tony Bennett) and is McCartney's first release since his 1999 collection of '50s rockers, Run Devil Run. It's his first disc of originals since 1997's Flaming Pie.

McCartney entered the studio with Kahne for two weeks earlier this year, and the pair recorded 18 songs (see "Paul McCartney Records New Album With Sugar Ray Producer"). The ex-Beatle later returned to the studio to tweak and polish the tracks.

A month before Driving Rain is released, McCartney will be featured on Good Rockin' Tonight: Sun Records Tribute performing Elvis Presley's first single, "That's All Right."
