Those with the stomach to fork out $158.95 for the Kiss photodiary "Kisstory," might just be ready for David Bowie's limited-edition autographed picture book "Moonage Daydream: The Life and Times of Ziggy Stardust." The tome, assembled and autographed by Bowie and photographer Mick Rock, will soon be available for around $400 from England's Genesis Publishing. It was conceived to coincide with the upcoming 30th anniversary of Bowie's 1972 album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars. Only 2,500 copies are being printed.

"Moonage Daydream" features text from Bowie and Rock as well as many rare and previously unseen photos, including shots of Bowie performing, applying makeup backstage, shooting videos and working in a French studio on Pin Ups (1973). There are also numerous photos of Bowie with '70s cronies like Lou Reed, Iggy Pop and Mott the Hoople, and there are pictures of memorabilia such as handwritten lyrics and record and magazine covers.

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust is widely considered one of Bowie's crowning achievements. It was one of five dramatic albums he recorded with the Spiders From Mars lineup that included the fiery guitar work of guitarist Mick Ronson, the flamboyant bass playing of Trevor Bolder and the dynamic drumming of Mick "Woody" Woodmansey. After the release of Pin Ups, Bowie canned the backing group and proceeded on a poppier, more soul-influenced path.
