They may seem too old to rock and roll, but Jethro Tull just keep on kicking — the band will bring its flute-drenched prog rock sound on the road in the U.S. come July.

The U.S. tour starts July 17 in Cleveland, Ohio, and during the next month, the group will play six more shows in the Midwest, ending on July 25 in Toledo, Ohio. After a three-week hiatus, Tull will resume the tour in Poughkeepsie, New York, on August 14, and wind through the East Coast until the tour concludes on September 1 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The touring lineup features founding members Ian Anderson (vocals, flute, acoustic guitar) and Martin Barre (electric guitar), and more recent recruits Jonathan Noyce (bass), Andrew Giddings (keyboards) and Doane Perry (drums).

On July 3 the band will release The Very Best of Jethro Tull, which features 20 songs remastered by Anderson at London's Abbey Road Studios, including "Aqualung," "Living in the Past," "Thick as a Brick" and "Locomotive Breath." Three of the songs, "Too Old to Rock 'N' Roll: Too Young to Die," "Minstrel in the Gallery" and "Heavy Horses," were edited by Anderson in order to fit all the songs onto the 78 minute disc.
