Rock aristocrat Rod Stewart seems to have recovered fully from the throat surgery he had last year after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Not only has he scheduled a summer tour, he has announced more than 40 new U.S. dates.

The tour, which begins June 1 in Vancouver, British Columbia, will keep Stewart crooning onstage until at least August 15 in Columbus, Ohio. Although his last album, Human, which was released in February, quickly fell off Billboard's album chart, and his most recent single, "I Can't Deny It," peaked at #33 on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart, Stewart remains a strong concert draw.
