First Steely Dan won four Grammys. Then they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Now Walter Becker and Donald Fagen are going to become doctors.

Well, sort of. The Berklee College of Music in Boston will bestow honorary doctor of music degrees on Becker and Fagen during the school's commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 12. The night before, Berklee students will perform a set of Steely Dan tunes in a tribute concert.

Fagen attended Berklee briefly in 1966 and met Becker the following year at Bard College in upstate New York. The two are expected to attend both the concert and the ceremony, according to a spokesperson for Berklee.

Berklee has awarded honorary doctorates to David Bowie, Billy Joel, Sting, James Taylor, and Duke Ellington, among others.
