He's had a rhyme battle with The Grinch on a soundtrack, he's had a martial arts face-off with himself in a video, and now Busta Rhymes is set to square off against his most dangerous foe: psycho killer Michael Myers.

Following in the footsteps of his Violator management teammate LL Cool J, who had a supporting role in Halloween 7, Busta will play the lead in Halloween 8, according to the management company.

Details about the movie — including how Myers, who was beheaded in the last film, will be resurrected — have been kept secret, although Violator divulged that Busta's character will probably be named Freddy.

Sean Patrick Thomas ("Save the Last Dance") and Bianca Kajlich ("Bring It On") will also be in the cast, according to the movie's official Web site, www.halloweenmovies.com. Halloween 8 is scheduled to start production in Vancouver on May 9.

Calls to Dimension Films, which is producing the movie, were not returned by press time.
