It's going to be a Gray summer for the Dave Matthews Band.

Soul singer Macy Gray has been tapped to open at least 14 dates on the Charlottesville, Virginia, jam rockers' summer tour in support of their fourth studio album, Everyday, which hits stores on Tuesday.

Gray will join Matthews and company on May 18 in San Francisco and tour with the band until at least July 15 in Dallas. Word on a second leg is expected to come in mid-March; a spokesperson for the Dave Matthews Band was uncertain whether Gray would remain on the tour, or which other acts will appear.

Dave Matthews Band traditionally takes several different artists out on the road each year for one- or two-month jaunts. Last year, Ben Harper, Guster, Béla Fleck, the Getaway People, Indigenous, Ozomatli, the Funky Meters and Steve Earle and the Dukes spent time on the road with the band.

Gray, whose multiplatinum debut album, On How Life Is, featured the hit single "I Try," last toured in November with the Black Eyed Peas and Common.

Meanwhile, the Dave Matthews Band has lined up a handful of promotional events before kicking off its tour on April 21 in Charlottesville. Several Dave Matthews Band listening parties will take place simultaneously at various IMAX theatres across the United States and Canada on Thursday (February 22). Contest winners and invited guests will have the opportunity to view special footage from throughout the Dave Matthews Band's career on the big screen, while samples from the 12-track Everyday are played.

The listening parties are also to promote the upcoming IMAX movie "All Access," which includes performances by Dave Matthews Band, Kid Rock and Santana, among others.

The band also will perform on this week's "Saturday Night Live" and on "The Late Show With David Letterman" on Monday.

"I Did It," the first single off Everyday, produced by Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, No Doubt), is #8 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart.

Tickets for the first leg of the Dave Matthews Band tour go on sale March 10.
