Xscape is back for another go-round with a new single, a new album, and new attitude from the one displayed on the group's last effort, 1995's "Off The Hook."
"We've matured a lot," the group's Kandi told our partners in the MTV Radio Network recently of the biggest change the group went through before recording its third album, "Traces Of My Lipstick."
"I mean, a lot of us have different endeavors that we want to do, and the three of us are mothers now. We've grown, even with the selection of our songs. We were like, 'We want to use these people.' We wanted to work with the Diane Warrens and the Babyfaces, so I think that's a maturity growth for us as well."
True to their word, the group's first single, "The Arms of the One Who Loves You," comes courtesy of the pen of Diane Warren, and Xscape's next single will be the Jermaine Dupri-produced "My Little Secret." The video for that track will be directed by Darren Grant, the man behind Destiny's Child's "No, No, No" and Jagged Edge's "Gotta Be."
