Following up the success of his hit single, "I Don't Ever Wanna See You Again," Motor City R&B crooner Uncle Sam is preparing to enchant anew with "Baby, You Are My Cinderella," which Sam wrote about a very real girl from his past.

"There was this young lady that I grew up with," Sam explained to the MTV Radio Network, "and I ended up separating with her. And [in the song] I'm just recollecting on the past and it's like the song is stating the fact that I never thought I would be in love with her forever. She was like a Cinderella to me."

"Every woman in the world wants to be Cinderella," Sam continued, " and every man in the world wants to have someone special and that's what she was to me."

Sam says that he never told the young woman about the song, but he figures that if she hears it she'll know it was written about her. Uncle Sam is currently on tour in support of his self-titled debut, opening for his mentors, Boys II Men.
