Feb. 7 [10:00 EST] -- The Australian teen trio known as Silverchair have just released "Freak Show," the follow-up to their wildly successful debut album "Frogstomp."

This time around, the band stretched out with strings, extended sitar workouts, and timpani drums, and frontman Daniel Johns, bassist Chris Joannu, and drummer Ben Gillies locked their parents out of the studio.

The group explains why on this week's edition of MTV's "Week In Rock," which airs Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. EST. More cyber-minded folks can check out the "Week In Rock" site here at MTV News Online.

For a full transcript of our interview with Silverchair, check out MTV News Online's "MTV News Feature: Silverchair," in which the boys talk about making their second album, and their concerns about living up to the lofty expectations set by the success of their debut.

Silverchair will also chat live on MTV Online on AOL (keyword:MTVARENA) Monday, February 10 at 8 p.m. EST.

The band's U.S. tour plays New York City on Tuesday.
