Rapper Silkk the Shocker sent a jolt to this week's Billboard Album Charts, as the rapper's new record, "Made Man," debuted at number one, selling almost twice as many copies as last week's top album from pop chanteuse Britney Spears.

Despite the fact that his first record, "Charge It 2 Da Game," just came out last year, Silkk has quickly made a name for himself in hip-hop circles, making appearances on albums from Mya, Montell Jordan and his brother, Master P.

But like most rappers today, Silkk also has a touch of the acting bug, and has landed several (mostly minor) roles in various films, including "Corrupt" with Ice-T. Regardless of the movie projects, Silkk says he's content to remain focused on his big brother's No Limit empire.

"At first it was more [about] our company thing," Silkk told MTV News,

Silkk plans on holding off on touring in support of his new album for a few months, until after he's completed a part in the upcoming No Limit film, "Hot Boys."
