After appearing in such films as "Ride," "Caught," and "Half Baked," as well as in the straight-to-video flicks "Da Game of Life" and "MP: Da Last Don," rapper Snoop Dogg is now looking to add to his acting resume with a part in the new No Limit film, "The Hot Boyz."
Snoop has been cast as C-Dogg, a close confidant to the lead character, Kool, which will be played by fellow No Limit rapper Silkk the Shocker. The film, which was directed by Master P, also features Mystikal, C-Murder, Clifton Powell, A.J. Powell, and Gary Busey. In the film, Silkk's love interest is wrongfully accused of murder by a corrupt cop, and Silkk is forced to go undercover to help bust a drug kingpin in exchange for his girlfriend's release. "Hot Boyz" is expected to be released in August, the same month Snoop says he might start work on another film, "The Mack 2," presumably a sequel to the 1973 Max Julien movie. Snoop Dogg will release a new record, "Topp Dogg," on May 11.
