Feb. 3 [8:00 EST] -- The remaining members of Sepultura have sounded off about their recent split with long-time frontman Max Cavalera.
Max fired off an emotional six-page hand-written press release last week claiming that his bandmates (including his brother, Igor Cavalera) ousted him and his wife Gloria (who acted as the band's manager). However, an Associated Press report says that Max chose to leave the group after they refused to renew his wife's contract. The report goes on to say that guitarist Andreas Kisser will now handle the band's vocal duties.
"Our music will probably change some, but we will continue to exist much to the despair of those that don't like us," Igor reportedly said of the split.
In his press release, Max claims that he and his wife were "pretty much forced out of the band," and that "It wasn't my idea to split the band."
