Ruff Ryders Entertainment, the company behind DMX, Eve, The LOX, and Drag-On, has issued a statement pertaining to the backstage violence that occurred on Monday night at a Ruff Ryders/Cash Money tour stop in Boston which left six people injured.

"The incident at the FleetCenter in Boston on April 3 was most unfortunate. Our prayers are with those who were injured and their families," Ruff Ryders execs Joaquin, Darren, and Chivon Dean wrote in an official statement.

"Our sincerest apologies go out to our fans, supporters and all of the attendees at the show," the statement reads, presumably referring to the fact that Ruff Ryders artists DMX and The LOX were not able to perform due to the violence at the FleetCenter.

Joaquin and Darren Dean have been touting this tour (which launched on February 24) as one that represents peace and unity in hip-hop, and up until now there haven't been any violent incidents reported. With nine dates remaining on the tour, the Ruff Ryders family is confident that this will be the last such incident.

"We trust that this isolated incident serves as a reminder that we must be vigilant in keeping the peace when and where we gather. The very premise of this tour is to foster a sense of unity within the hip-hop community. Incidents such as this one only serve to strengthen our resolve," the Ruff Ryders statement continued.

Following Monday's incident, six victims were dispersed between New England Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Boston Medical Center.

The "Boston Herald" reported on Wednesday that one of the victims was Marco Antonio Ellis (a.k.a. Antonio 2G) of the Boston group Made Men, who had been opening select dates on the Ruff Ryders/Cash Money tour. Ellis was treated and released for three stab wounds in the back.

Four others also suffered stab wounds, while another individual was struck with a marble bench. At press time on Wednesday, one victim remained hospitalized in critical condition with multiple stab wounds.

There's still no word on who was involved in the scuffle, but Boston police questioned fifty unnamed people following the incident. Police have also confirmed to MTV News that two arrests were made at the venue Monday night. One of those arrests was directly related to the fight (for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon -- a marble bench) and one may or may not have been directly tied to the backstage fracas (possession of marijuana).

Although he did not witness the stabbings, a video director who was accompanying the tour told the "Boston Globe" on Tuesday that members of Made Men had clashed with one or more of the groups on the outing.
