Scots-born singer Finley Quaye is apparently about to be sued by a hotel manager who says he was assaulted by Quaye.
The "London Daily Mirror" reports that the alleged incident occurred in the hotel lobby of the upscale Marriott Hotel in Swiss Cottage, North London, after Quaye allegedly complained about slow room service. An altercation apparently ensued, police were called and the singer was taken to nearby Hampstead police station.
The report says that hotel manager John Williams, a 50-year-old former cop, initially received emergency treatment and was later hospitalized for a bloodclot to his ear stemming from the initial injury.
Williams told the "Mirror" that he was upset that Quaye had only been cautioned by the authorities, which happened because the Police had lost the video tape of the incident, thus Quaye couldn't be charged.
Williams added that the matter was now in the hands of his solicitors.
