July 8 [16:00 EDT] -- Metal trash rockers Pantera will be releasing their much anticipated "Official Live" CD July 29 on East-West Records. The album will include two new studio tracks in addition to 14 live performances. A video should follow in August.
The live songs were recorded over the course of their last two tours, in particular the year long excursion that followed the release of their fifth album, The Great Southern Trendkill. The CD includes: 'New Level, 'Walk,' 'Becoming,' '5 Minutes Alone,' 'Sandblasted Skin,' 'Suicide Note Part II,' 'War Nerve,' 'Strength Beyond Strength,' 'Domination/Hollow,' 'This Love', 'I'm Broken,' 'Cowboys From Hell,' 'Cemetery Gates' and 'F**king Hostile.' The studio tracks are called 'Where You Come From' and 'I Can't Hide.'
Pantera just wrapped up the their part in the Ozzfest tour where the majority of reviews had them rivaling Ozzy Osbourne's Black Sabbath reunion as the festival highlight. The band is again touring solo. They just returned from a concert in Alaska and next week they're heading south -- way south -- for shows in Mexico City.
