September 12 [16:00 EDT] -- Snoop Doggy Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, and 112 turn up on the hip-hop collaboration-fest that is the "I-95" soundtrack.
Our colleagues in the MTV Radio Network report that Quest can be heard with Adriana Evans, while Snoop performs with the Eastenders.
Elsewhere on the album:
- Big Mike and Andre from Outkast turn in a track,
- Dave Hollister (formerly of Blackstreet), Erick Sermon, and Redman team up,
- Eric Benet, The Roots, and The Jazzy Fat Nastys get together,
- Tony Toni Tone's Raphael Saadiq and Willie Max record together,
- Nas and Noreaga join forces,
- 112 goes it alone.
The soundtrack will hit stores on December 9.
Snoop, Lady of Rage, and Fredo and Sticky Fingaz from Onyx will turn up in the film about a group of girls who take a bus trip down Interstate 95 to appear in a music video in Florida.
"I-95," which stars Malik Yoba and John Witherspoon, was directed by music video auteur Mellicent Sheldon (Salt-n-Pepa's "Let's Talk About Sex," Ce Ce Peniston's "Walk On") and should turn up around the end of the year.
