Gary Numan, the British artist who helped pioneer synthesizer-based pop and scored a minor hit in the U.S. with "Cars," plans to head out on his first tour of the states in over two years.

According to "Billboard," Numan will hit the road to support two new albums: "Exile," his first record of new material to be released in America in the '90s, and "Mix," a collection of Numan songs reworked by other musicians, including Information Society, Spaceship Eyes, and Anubian Lights, among others.

"Mix" was originally slated to arrive in stores this week, but according to a U.K. fan site, the disc has been delayed due to technical problems. No word yet on when the album will be released.
