A collaboration between No Limit rapper Mystikal and hip-hop outfit Outkast and a Blackstreet song have just been released to radio as the first singles from the soundtrack to "The Wood," an upcoming MTV Films production.
Mystikal and Outkast team-up for "Neck Uv Da Woods," while the Teddy Riley fronted Blackstreet is receiving some radio love for "Think About You," a cut that originally appeared on the group's recent release, "Finally." Other notables artists contributing to "The Wood" soundtrack include DMX, the Roots, R. Kelly, Joe, Too Short featuring Horace Brown, Whodini, Eric B. & Rakim, Cash Money Millionaires, and Luther Vandross with Cheryl Lynn. Directed by Rick Famuyiwa and starring Omar Epps, Taye Diggs, and Richard T. Jones, "The Wood" tells the story of three twenty-something friends who reminisce about growing up in Inglewood, California. "The Wood" soundtrack is due out on July 13, with the film slated to arrive on screens on July 16.
