Mos Def and The Pharcyde are among the acts scheduled to participate in the Boarding for Breast Cancer (BBC) benefit concert later this month in Lake Tahoe, California.
Boarding For Breast Cancer’s 5th Annual Snowboard & Music Festival, presented by RLX Polo Sport, is being hosted by former MTV VJ Kennedy and is scheduled to take place on April 15 at California’s "Sierra-At Tahoe" resort. In addition to Mos Def and The Pharcyde, performers also include Del The Funky Homosapien, Guttermouth, Flogging Molly, and Vera. The Festival will also feature breast cancer awareness and educational exhibits, as well as snowboarding exhibitions by top pros, including Shannon Dunn, Tina Basich, Ross Powers, and Michele Taggart. BBC is a non-profit, youth-focused, awareness and fundraising foundation. Since it was founded in 1996, the organization has raised over $400,000 for the cause, with past beneficiaries that include The Breast Cancer Fund, The Susan G. Komen Foundation, The Nina Hyde Center For Breast Cancer Research, and a variety of regional organizations.
