With its third album, "Excuse For Travellers," currently drawing raves from indie rock circles and college radio, Britain's Mojave 3 plans to bring its gently crafted pop to North American shores in late September and early October.
Singer-guitarist Neil Halstead, guitarist Simon Rowe, bassist Rachel Goswell, keyboardist Alan Forrester, and drummer Ian McCutcheon formed Mojave 3 in 1995 from the remnants of shoegazer band Slowdive, which featured Halstead and Goswell.
After landing a subsequent deal with 4AD, Mojave 3 issued its critically acclaimed debut, "Ask Me Tomorrow," in 1996, followed by its second album, "Out Of Tune," in 1998.
