The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Moby, and Filter are among the artists planning to make a pilgrimage to the home of Pennsylvania's best-known alcoholic export, Rolling Rock beer.

The Chili Peppers and company will head to the western Pennsylvania hamlet of Latrobe for the first annual Rolling Rock Town Fair on August 5. The aforementioned acts will be joined by fellow main stagers Our Lady Peace, Fuel, and Marcy Playground as well as a second full of emerging artists.

Organizers are also promising that the festival will also boast a full fairground with carnival-like attractions as well as "the contrarian and quirky spirit of Rolling Rock beer," for those of you who are enticed by such promises.

Tickets for the rock and beer extravaganza went on sale last weekend and are going or $33, in a tip of the cap to the "33" printed on all bottles of Rolling Rock.

The date will come as the Chili Peppers are making the rounds with Stone Temple Pilots and Fishbone. That leg of RHCP's tour kicks off on July 30 in Saratoga, New York (see "Chili Peppers Add Tour Dates With STP, Fishbone").
