April 4 [10:00 EST] -- The AP reports that singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell has finally been reunited with the daughter she put up for adoption 32 years ago.
Both Mitchell and her daughter had reportedly been searching for each other for some time, and Mitchell's father, Bill Anderson, told the AP that the reunion was "sort of a fairy tale ending."
So far Mitchell has made no official statement about finding her daughter, but the singer is reportedly now collecting her thoughts in preparation for a public statement.
Mitchell reportedly had the child with Toronto photographer Brad McMath in 1965, when Mitchell was an art student.
Mitchell emerged in the late 60s and has crafted an enduring and influential career that include such albums as "Blue," "Court and Spark," and "For the Roses."
