June 6 [14:00 EDT] -- Just one day before the kick-off of the two-day Tibetan Freedom Concert, the line-up is still being firmed up.
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones have been added to the roster on Sunday, replacing the Wallflowers, who have bowed out of the show. The Bosstones now join Pavement, Bjork, Blur, De La Soul, Alanis Morissette, Rancid, the Beastie Boys, R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe and Mike Mills and others on Sunday's bill.
The Bosstones are no doubt used to the notion of multi-act showcases as they have recently been pounding the radio festival circuit in support of their latest album, "Let's Face It."
On Saturday, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Radiohead, Biz Markie, Sonic Youth, Porno For Pyros, Noel Gallagher, Foo Fighters, A Tribe Called Quest, U2, KRS-One and others will start the weekend-long event.
MTV News will be there as well, staging live editions of "The Week In Rock" from Saturday and Sunday's concerts at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time. MTV will also be airing updates throughout the day on Saturday, as well as two hours of live coverage from the show starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
