Boston's sons of ska, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, will see their childhood dream come true when the group unveils its new video at the city's Fenway Park for the Boston Red Sox opening game.
As we previously reported (see "Bosstones Hope To Debut Video At Red Sox Game"), the group had hoped to premiere the clip for "So Sad To Say" at the Red Sox home opener, and the group's label, Island Def Jam, has now confirmed that event for April 11 when the Sox face the Minnesota Twins. The video will air prior to start of the game, and members of the Bosstones are scheduled to be on hand at Fenway Park to introduce the clip. The "So Sad To Say" video was directed by Marcus Nispel, whose previous clients include the Spice Girls, Janet Jackson, and Bush. "So Sad To Say" is the first single from The Mighty Mighty Bosstones' forthcoming sixth studio album, "Pay Attention," which will hit record racks on May 2. Head Bosstone Dicky Barrett may pay further homage to the Sox by wearing the group's uniform while on this summer's Warped Tour (see "Bosstones' Barrett Talks Warped Tour, Red Sox").
