Megadeth will be getting a bit of help from Type O Negative next month when both bands take the stage for a good cause.
As we reported earlier this month, Megadeth will turn up at New York's Roseland Ballroom on September 1 for a show that will mark the 15th anniversary of Concrete Marketing while benefiting the T.J. Martell Foundation's fight against pediatric AIDS (see "Megadeth Gets Charitable As Album Release Nears"). Now word has come that Type O Negative will also be on the bill along with two other, as-yet-unannounced acts. Organizers are also planning to cap off the evening with a Black Sabbath jam session, and VH1 will be on hand to capture the proceedings. For Type O Negative, the show comes mere weeks before the September 21 release of "World Coming Down," an album that the band promises will be a more stripped-down affair than 1996's "October Rust." The show looks to be the only chance that fans will have to catch the band before it begins touring in earnest behind the album in mid-to-late September.
