Maybe if you'd built the multi-million dollar No Limit empire out of nothing, you wouldn't get too easily discouraged, either. But despite bolting from the CBA's Fort Wayne Fury last year after playing in less than 10 games, rap mogul Master P still thinks he has what it takes to make it in the NBA.
Although the labor dispute between NBA owners and the players' union forced this year's schedule to be cut more than half, all teams will open their training camps today, and Master P is still hoping to hook up with one of them before the season's tip-off on February 5. MTV News' John Norris caught up with P's brother Silkk the Shocker, who gave an account of P's current basketball efforts and P's hopes to perhaps sign a deal with the Dallas Mavericks. "He's having good luck over there," Silkk said, A spokesperson for the Dallas Mavericks told MTV News that P was only shooting hoops in the team's practice facility, and did not currently have plans to try him out.
