Rapper Mase is doing his best to keep his name out there though his soundtrack work and his own record label.

Mase, whose debut album "Harlem World" has run its course, is still in the thick of things courtesy of his work with Mya and Blackstreet on the "Rugrats" soundtrack single "Take Me There."

"The next level for Mase is to become this big mega-star," the rapper told the MTV Radio Network of his plan to stay in the spotlight. "I don't want to be a rap star. I want you to see me and just say, 'That's Mase,' not 'That's Puff Daddy and Mase,' you know."

Mase has already taken the first step in that direction with his own All Out Records, a division of Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Records (see "Mase Duets With Brandy, Forms Record Label").

The label has finally set a release date for its first project, the debut of the group Harlem World. Mase is no longer an official member of the group as he once was, but he will appear on the record as a guest rapper and is producing some tracks for the group.

While Mase is no longer a card-carrying member of Harlem World, the group still boasts his twin sister Stase, as well as Loon, Meno, Blinky-Blink, Sugar J, Huddy Combs, and Cardan.

The group's first effort, "The Movement," is scheduled for release on march 9 of next year, and Harlem World's first single, "I Really Like It" featuring Kelly Price, should pop up around January 14.
