Mase has called it quits on the hip-hop tip, but he's not turning his back on his new album.

The rapper, who announced his retirement in April, released his second and last LP this week, "Double Up." As he recently told MTV News, he's still proud of his new release, which was recorded before he turned away from rap to devote his life to God.

"I just think... with this album coming up, it's an incredible album for hip hop fans and fans all over the world," said Mase. "'Cause it just covers a lot of elements of my life, and just a lot of... my views. I feel like the first album is just a great album. I feel like this album is more intense than the first one, and more powerful."

"Double Up" features Bad Boy's Hitmen, Harlem World, Puff Daddy, and Blackstreet. It's in stores now.
