Marilyn Manson's upcoming album "Mechanical Animals" doesn't arrive until September 15, but he's already scaring the locals.
Retail giants Wal-Mart and K-Mart have refused to stock the album with its current cover art, which depicts an androgynous Marilyn Manson done up to look like a stripped-down doll with prosthetic breasts but no detailed genitalia.
Interscope Records, Manson's record label, is currently working on an alternative cover that would obscure Manson's already smoothed-over breasts.
As Mason re-tools his cover art, one thing that won't be changing is the track listing of "Mechanical Animals." When the record finally arrives on September 15, here's what you'll find:
- "Great Big White World"
- "The Dope Show"
- "Mechanical Animals"
- "Rock Is Dead"
- "Disassociative"
- "The Speed Of Pain"
- "Posthuman"
- "I Want To Disappear"
- "I Don't Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me)"
- "New Model no. 15"
- "User Friendly"
- "Fundamentally Loathsome"
- "The Last Day On Earth"
- "Coma White"
