Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals tour kicked off in Kansas City on Monday night with a short 13-song, 70-minute set that still managed to pack in plenty of glam rock theatrics.

On his opening night, Manson was packing a Las Vegas-worthy sign flashing the word drugs, as well as more dependable favorites like stilts, garter belts, and a derriere-exposing jumpsuit. Despite the trappings, "The Kansas City Star" music critic Tim Finn told MTV News that the show was "far less a spectacle than the Antichrist Superstar tour."

Manson then rolled on to St. Louis on Tuesday, and will check into the following towns before launching a European tour:
