Marilyn Manson, Alanis Morrisette, the Offspring, Live, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica among the acts confirmed for Woodstock '99, a three-day festival kicking off July 23 that marks the thirtieth anniversary of its namesake, 1969's legendary hippie-rock lovefest.

Unlike that event, which took place in Bethel, New York, this year's Woodstock will be held at the unlikely site of Griffiss Technology Park, an old military base located in Rome, New York.

Other artists likely in the Woodstock '99 lineup include Korn, Limp Bizkit, Sheryl Crow, Counting Crows, Aerosmith and former Marilyn Manson tourmate Hole but these artists have not been confirmed yet.. Sources told MTV News that the Dave Matthews Band has also been approached, but at press time, hadn't committed the festival.

More artists are expected to be announced shortly. We'll keep you posted.
