So, what could make a film starring Marilyn Manson even weirder?

How about adding pop ingenue Lisa Loeb to the cast? Both musicians are currently in negotiations for parts in the remake of the 1958 Vincent Price horror film, "The House on Haunted Hill."

Even though shooting began on Thursday in California's Santa Clarita studios, the cast list isn't expected to be finalized until next week. A spokesperson for the film says that even though it's unlikely that Manson will be cast in the picture because of his touring schedule, talks are still in progress.

As we previously reported (see "Marilyn Manson Eyed For Horror Film") the picture itself stars Geoffrey Rush as a business tycoon and "Goldeneye's" Famke Janssen as his unhappy wife.

The plot takes a turn when Rush's character pays five strangers $1 million a piece to spend the night in a former insane asylum to celebrate Janssen's birthday. Manson is up for the part of the asylum's head, Dr. Vannacutt, although it isn't known what role Loeb is being considered for.

"The House on Haunted Hill" is due out by year's end via Dark Castle Entertainment and Warner Bros.
