After Lilith Fair founder Sarah McLachlan floods the marketplace with three separate live-album projects and this summer's third (and, purportedly, final) festival, she's planning on taking a long time off.

Two different Lilith Fair records ("Volume 2" and "Volume 3") were released on Tuesday, featuring in-concert tracks from the likes of Luscious Jackson, Shawn Colvin, Morcheeba, Natalie Merchant, Queen Latifah, Liz Phair, and (of course) McLachlan, who also has a live album all her own due out next month. The singer-songwriter hopes this wealth of live material will tide her fans over until she makes her way back into the studio.

"We're not going to have a new album out for a long time," McLachlan recently told MTV News,

"I'm going to go on sabbatical for a couple of years," she continued. "I'm not sure, again, about how long. At the end of the year. I'm not quitting the music industry. I'm not going to stop making music. It's in my blood. I don't think I'll ever stop. I'm just gonna not tour for a while."

McLachlan added, "I'm quite sure I'm going to continue writing. I just want the opportunity to float, and I realize that it's a very luxurious thing to be able to say." [RealVideo]

The Lilith leader's upcoming live solo album will be titled "Mirrorball," and it's due out on June 15 (see "Sarah McLachlan To Release Live Album And New Lilith Compilations").
