Feb. 24 [12:00 EST] -- Music lovers may soon have the chance to relive the glory days of big rock as a feature film version of the biography "Stairway To Heaven: Led Zeppelin Uncensored" is reportedly on the way.
According to "Variety," Richard Cole, the group's tour manager, sold the film rights to his 1992 bare-knuckled portrait of the band's career. Canterbury Films and FSO-SOD Communications will reportedly team to produce the film, but no release date has been announced yet.Cole's book chronicled the band's legendary career from their formation after the dissolution of guitarist Jimmy Page's Yardbirds in 1968 to their 1980 break-up in the wake of the death of drummer John Bonham.
It is not yet known what tone the film will take, but Cole has reportedly not ruled out seeing the film done as a comedy.
