Feb. 25 [14:00 EST] -- With Robert Plant and Jimmy Page getting ready to start work on a new album next month (a record that should be out by year's end), Led Zeppelin's former tour manager, Richard Cole, has reportedly sold the movie rights to his tell-all 1992 memoir, "Stairway To Heaven: Led Zeppelin Uncensored."
The book, written with Richard Trubo, tracked Page and Plant's seminal band from its inception in 1968 to its break-up in 1980, following the death of drummer John Bonham. Cole told "Daily Variety" that a film version of the book could be handled in a number of ways, maybe even as a comedy.
Plant and Page reps, however, say it's too early to confirm one crucial point for any proposed film, which is whether or not they'll allow any Led Zeppelin music to be used in it.
