MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer has signed on to be a touring musician for avante garde rockers Pere Ubu during that band's stint on the Inertia Tour, which will also feature the Buzzcocks, the Dickies and the Fall.

Kramer, whose career has been in a critical upswing following two recent solo records, 1995's "Hard Stuff" and last year's "Citizen Wayne," has even moved the release of his own upcoming record, "Live Like a Motherf**ker," back to November 10 in order to focus on the Pere tour.

The bulk of Kramer's concert album was recorded during his last solo road outing, and features two new songs, "Take Your Clothes Off" and "Bomb Day in Paris," as well as an updated version of the classic MC5 diatribe, "Kick Out the Jams."
