After making the rounds with Metallica, Korn, Powerman 5000, and System Of A Down, Detroit's king pimp Kid Rock is planning to launch his own headlining tour beginning on August 2 in Evansville, Indiana.

Kid Rock and Metallica's Summer Sanitarium prowls the highways and byways from June 23 through July 22, and Kid and his merry band of misfits have headlining dates lined up through early September.

Kid has yet to select tourmates for the trek, though his spokespeople say that it's likely that Kid's DJ and musical right-hand man Uncle Kracker will get a set on the tour to promote his debut album "Double Wide" (which was produced by Kid Rock).

"I was gonna take out some rappers, but they all want too much money," Kid Rock told MTV News recently of his tour plans. Uncle Kracker joked.

"I told him only if he had that thing [on his face] removed, otherwise he's not touring with me," [RealVideo] Kid added.

In all seriousness, Kid Rock and whomever else he can rope in will venture out on August 2 in Evansville, Indiana. Here's how that itinerary shapes up (as always, tour dates are subject to change):
