"Life," the prison movie starring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence, isn't scheduled to arrive on screens until April 16, but the film's soundtrack has already spawned a single of the same name, performed by R&B duo K-Ci and JoJo.

The song was written by the ubiquitous R. Kelly, but as the but as the part-time Jodeci singers told MTV, they never had the chance to actually meet R. Kelly face-to-face for the project.

"We didn't even get to meet him," K-Ci admitted, "we never even got to meet him, but it was an honor to do a song that was written by and produced by R. Kelly."

"I just want to clear up one thing," added JoJo, "the only reason we didn't get to meet was that our schedule was hectic and his schedule sounds hectic. But he set up the track, we went in and we did it, and R. Kelly, if you're looking."

"You did your thing, boy," K-Ci said, "you did your thing!" [28.8 RealVideo]

The "Life" soundtrack also features new cuts from Wyclef Jean, Maxwell, Mya, Sparkle and Kelly Price. Meanwhile, MCA Records has confirmed to the MTV Radio Network that K-Ci and JoJo will be hooking up with Mr. Dalvin and DeVante for another Jodeci album in the not-too-distant future.
