As Jesus and Mary Chain prepares to release its new album, "Munki," on June 9, the band has announced plans to launch a U.S. mini-tour in support of the record which will launch in Chicago on June 12. The band will close out the series of dates with a New York show in conjunction with this year's Intelfest Music Conference.

As we previously reported (see "Jesus and Mary Chain Return With New Label..."), "Munki" marks the moody drone rockers first album in almost four years and is being hailed as a sonic return to the dissonance of the group's earlier albums, including 1985's "Psychocandy" and 1989's "Automatic."
