The musical entity collectively known as the Jacksons, with brother Michael in-tow, has reformed to record its first new album in almost a decade.

According to "Billboard," Michael, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon, Jackie and the youngest, "sixth," brother Randy, have been working on material for a new album, tentatively titled "J5," to be released through Michael's MJJ Music.

The Jackson family hasn't released an album collectively since 1989's "2300 Street," by which the band had pared down to the quartet of Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Randy. Michael hasn't recorded an album with his brothers since the release of 1984's "Victory," and the group effectively disbanded when Michael left following the subsequent tour.

Under the guise of the Jackson 5, the brothers scored a number of hits in the '70s, including "ABC" and "I Want You Back," and was one of the most successful black pop groups in music, influencing such contemporary artists as Boyz II Men.
