Michael Jackson apparently intends to make the most out of his New Year's Eve 2000 plans, and has tentatively scheduled a pair of shows for the special day -- one in Sydney, Australia and the other in Honolulu, Hawaii.
According to an Australian music news site, Undercover, the self-anointed King of Pop will play a New Year's show at Sydney Football Stadium on December 31, then fly east across the international date line for a second concert at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. The logistics are still being hammered out for the concerts, but tickets for the Sydney show are expected to go on sale September 15, with the Hawaii date going on sale two weeks later, on October 1. Both venues can accommodate about 37,000 fans. Representatives for Michael Jackson had not returned calls seeking comment.
