Multi-talented and ultra-busy rapper and actor Ice Cube has just inked a deal with HBO to develop and produce a TV series about the hip-hop music industry called "Be Careful What You Wish For."
Cube may also direct the show's pilot, and while he won't star in the series, he may take a small recurring role.
Given the fact that he has new album in the "Billboard" Top 20 right now, a big tour booked for this summer with Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Snoop Dogg, and plans to start shooting another movie, "John Carpenter's Ghosts Of Mars," it's amazing that Cube has time to add anything to his schedule. As the rapper recently told the MTV Radio Network, there is a method to his madness.
"I'm always using my time," Ice Cube began,
"When I'm not doin' nothing, I kick back," he added. "Shoot a little hoop, play with my kids, hang out with my boys, and just have fun, man. Try to enjoy life." [RealVideo]
As we previously reported, Cube will join Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and others on a tour that launches on June 15 in San Diego, California (see "Dre, Eminem, Snoop, Cube Line Up Tour").
