Marilyn Manson and Hole are preparing to head out on the road together at the end of this month, and in the spirit of cooperation the two bands have agreed to record a cover tune from one another's catalog and release the tunes on a special disc.

Manson told MTV that he's planning to cover "Teenage Whore" from Hole's 1991 debut, "Pretty on the Inside," and that Courtney and company were considering a remake of his song, "Deformagraphy."

No word yet on when Manson and Hole intend on recording or releasing their respective tracks, but we'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, Imperial Teen, the band led by former Faith No More keyboardist Roddy Bottum, has just landed a highly-coveted opening spot on the Hole/Marilyn Manson tour.

The San Francisco-based outfit will take over from the previously announced openers, Monster Magnet, starting with the April 6 show at East Rutherford, New Jersey, and continuing until the tour's end on April 27 in Minneapolis. Some unresolved scheduling conflicts will keep Monster Magnet from honoring its original commitment to play-out the entire tour.

In a statement to friends about joining Hole and Manson on the road, Bottum said that he dug "the Marilyn Manson show, it's gonna be great to watch -- and Hole are old friends, so it's gonna be like going to the movies with a dysfunctional family. Exciting."
