The latest effort from alt.rock diva PJ Harvey, "Is This Desire," is set for a September release, and the chanteuse plans to prep for its arrival with a European tour.
Harvey will play the European tour circuit before the release of her fifth album, which was produced by Harvey herself with the help of Flood and engineer Head.
Harvey turned up in record stores last month when her work with French musician Pascal Comelade turned up on Comelade's "The Slang of the Noise" album (see "P.J. Harvey On The Horizon"). Harvey sang two songs, "Love Too Soon" and "Green Eyes," on the album.
Harvey's upcoming European dates will mark her first live shows in three years, and will see her team with multi-instrumentalist Eric Drew Feldman (Captain Beefheart, Pere Ubu, and the Pixies), guitarist John Parish, Harvey veteran drummer Rob Ellis, and slide-guitarist Jeremy Hogg.
