The Atlanta-based rap group Goodie M.O.B. hits the road Wednesday in New Orleans starting off a tour that also features the Roots.

Goodie M.O.B. is part of the southern school of hip-hop, that also includes Master P, and Outkast, and like the Roots, Goodie M.O.B. is also known for its live shows.

"So many artists get caught up in this per se the mike and the DJ thing," Goodie M.O.B.'s Big Gipp told MTV News, "that a lot of the people in the hip hop culture, they're getting tired of just seeing a person walk back and forth, back and forth, and there's really no excitement to the show."

"So we thought about that also," Gipp continued, "so it's like [in our shows] you get to hear us, you get to see us changing up on stage, you get to see the band -- you're creating so much of just one 45-minute show." [600k QuickTime]
