March 27 [7:55 EST] -- The Fugees will fulfill a lifelong dream on April 12, when they headline a benefit concert for some 60,000 fans in the Haitian capital of Port Au Prince.
Fugees Wyclef and Pras are both of Haitian descent, and the group's been planning this show since last summer's abbreviated "Hoodshock" tour.
The concert, which will include local acts, will benefit a fund to aid Haitian refugees and Haitian artists.
As for Wyclef, he's in New York this week recording with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
They're working on a track for his upcoming world music style solo album, "The Carnival," and Wyclef says the 60-piece orchestra is all part of a bigger message.
"I'm writing the actual theme with a 64-piece orchestra," Wyclef told MTV News, .
"The Carnival" will also have appearances by Fugees Pras and Lauryn Hill, and is expected to be released this summer.
