Although it's still not quite finished yet, the eagerly anticipated "X-Files" movie is due out late next month, bringing with it a high-profile soundtrack featuring specially commissioned tunes by the Foo Fighters, Filter, Tonic, X, and X-Filer David Duchovny's personal favorite Ween.

In fact, the actor often known as Agent Mulder said he may soon be weighing in behind the camera to lens a video for the soundtrack. "I may be directing a video for the movie. We'll see. Maybe the Foo Fighters. I don't know," Duchovny told MTV News' Kurt Loder Tuesday on the set of "The X- Files."

"I wouldn't know what the hell I'm doing," [800k QuickTime] Duchovny then admitted.

The film, which sees Duchovny and Gillian Anderson bring their Scully and Mulder partnership to the big screen, is presumably in much more experienced hands as it promises to be a full-bore special effects blow-out. We'll see when the film, which also promises to answer a number of riddles left unresolved in the TV series season finale, arrives next month.
