Rock and roll is often accused of having negative effects on young people, but at a recent Filter show, someone appearing to be suffering from midlife crisis caused the only schism of the evening.

At Filter's November 10 concert at the House Of Blues in New Orleans, a man described as a "suit-wearing balding male" in his mid-40s was seen waving a knife in the mosh pit. Filter leader Richard Patrick's assistant spotted the man with the blade and called for security officers to resolve the situation.

The man was dragged outside by security, at which point he dropped the knife, which was later recovered. The man was arrested.

In other Filter news, the band will be performing "Welcome To The Fold" and "Take A Picture" on MTV's "Fashionably Loud," which airs on November 27.
